About Iris R3

Clean swing-trading research, in public.

Iris R3 turns canonical setup research into an accountable, fail-closed lifecycle. Common Breakout, Earnings-Focused Episodic Pivot, and Cup with Handle all have provisional simulated model-account authority. Discovery can qualify Tracking, while a separate gated entry cycle is required before a simulated order can exist.

Execution model

Lifecycle state is truth.

The model account begins at $10,000 with a 2% ($200 at inception) risk budget per trade. Discovery remains a Tracking-stage activity. A separate gated entry cycle may create a simulated model-account order for an active setup when every setup-specific evidence gate passes. No untouched point-in-time historical validation corpus has been scored for Episodic Pivot; Peter authorized provisional model-account operation despite this material confidence limitation.

A

Research occurrence

A setup can be tracked with explicit missing evidence. Tracking has no shares, fill, P&L, or synthetic order state.

B

Accepted working order

A frozen trigger, setup-specific opening-range stop, whole-share quantity, and risk plan can become a provisional simulated working order—still not a fill. The operator supplies only an SEC CIK and accession reference. Iris fetches SEC submissions metadata and the primary document, derives the verified chronology, event, ticker, form, Item 2.02 status, and byte digests, then signs the normalized receipt. Operator-supplied URLs, filing dates, and digests have no authority.

C

Canonical position

An active setup’s authorized provisional simulation can create a position only after its observed crossing and evidence gates pass. Entry-time reasoning remains frozen against hindsight.

How to read the cards

Same shell, distinct lanes.

  • Open positions show entry, shares, market value, P&L, R, and stop.
  • Working orders show trigger and planned risk without fill language.
  • Tracking shows research status and next evaluation only.
  • Implemented research setup titles open one shared guide; unimplemented titles remain inert.

Risk rules

Risk comes first.

  • $10,000 model account.
  • 2% maximum planned risk per controlled-replay trade.
  • Whole shares; no leverage or averaging down.
  • Stops may stay fixed or move up—never widen.
  • One deterministic scheduler advances the simulated lifecycle through the same canonical lock. No setup has live brokerage or broker-write authority.

Data authority

Fresh, stale, or unavailable.

Iris says which one. Stale observations keep their timestamp; unavailable values stay blank rather than borrowing an entry, trigger, close, or zero.
